To provide an opportunity to communicate the most recent clinical and scientific breakthroughs to participants of the 3rd International Symposium on Integrated Biomarkers in Cardiovascular Diseases, submission of  Late Breaking Abstracts for poster presentation will be accepted from May 20, 2008 to June 10, 2008.

A limited number of posters on topics of specific interest will be accepted by the Scientific Committee. Selected posters will be exhibited for the duration of the symposium. The deadline for the receipt of abstracts is May 15, 2008. The official letter of acceptance, including guidelines for poster presentation will be sent to the presenting author by June 1, 2008. The presenting author must register for the symposium no later than June 15 or the abstract will be omitted from the final program.

Abstract Submission Information
The abstracts should preferably fit into one page, may contain figures, graphs, tables and must be written in English. Abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, size 12 font and should contain: poster title, name of authors (name of presenter in bold), institution and contact email. Abstracts may be sent as an attachment via email to smm@u.washington.edu or uploaded electronically, below.

Poster Awards for Young Investigators
(35 years old or younger)
Research awards will be made to recognize scientific merit and outstanding research achievements in a poster presentation by an investigator, 35 years old or younger, who submits an abstract in the competition. Each winner must be registered and 5 awards will be presented in the amount of $1000 USD. When you submit the abstract for the poster presentation, please write if you want to participate in the Poster Awards for Young Investigators and if so, please provide proof of your date of birth with your abstract submission.
